My Swaps

Here's a pic of my swaps I did for the SU Big Day Out. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo before I left for Auckland. I did 50 swaps, 10 each of the new In Colours that are going to be available on the 1 September.

SU Big Day Out

What a fab day I have had today. I was with 170 other ladies at the Stampin Up Big Day Out in Auckland. There were lots of presentations using the new products that are being released on 1 September. My wish list is getting very long......

One of the best things was meeting a lot of the ladies I talk to on Crafters Anonymous. So, of course we had to have a group photo.... 20 of us and baby Holle.

I am quite shattered (in a good way) so I will post more pics at a later date.

Busy times

Oh my goodness its been 10 days since my last post. I have been busy making swaps for the NZ Stampin Up Big Day Out which is happening in Auckland this Saturday. I am getting excited as I leave Nelson on Thursday afternoon and and don't come back until Monday. I am going to meet a few of my online buddies and I am also very lucky to be staying at Julia Leece's for the weekend. I can't wait to meet "the pineapple lump queen" and I am hoping that some of her crafting talent will rub off on me!!!!

In between making swaps I have been doing the online Monday night classes at Crafters Anonymous. Here are a couple of pics of what we have made lately.

Aren't these projects great? You should come and join us at Crafters Anonymous - its alot of fun I can tell you.

I had better get back to getting my stuff ready for the weekend. I have to make sure I have my camera charged (with spare batteries) as I know I will be taking lots of photos .

I'm on a sewing binge...

Are you like me and when you see fabrics you have to have a piece?? I always buy fabric with the good intention of making something and then it gets put into my fabric box where it stays for months.

I was feeling bad as my son's mother in law had bought some fabric for me to make her a bag and I had put it in the box ... So I got it out the other day and I whipped up this bag for her.

Then I thought I had better make my niece, Madison, one for her upcoming Birthday as I had had her fabric for a wee while too!! I love how it has turned out. Don't ya love the fabric flower - this was cut with the BS too.

I don't know why its takes me so long to get into gear to make these bags as I use my Big Shot to cut the fabric and batting. I can have the bag made in a couple of hours. The longest part is sewing the fabric and batting into sandwiches.

My fabric pile is getting smaller and I am having fun sewing these bags. What can I make next???

Stampin Fun and Friends

I was lucky enough to win a free pass to Stampin Fun and Friends latest round. I have so enjoyed myself and they have had some fab projects for me to try. SFF is run by CherylAnn and she has some brilliant ladies on her team.
Here are two projects that I have completed.

Book Box

Don't ya just love this little book box that Debi showed us how to make tonight at Crafters Anonymous Monday night Online class. It would also make a great gift package for a male. Will have to make another to test that theory!!!

Well, that week has flown by..

Last week is a bit of a blur. I spoke too soon and said that I hadn't been sick all Winter and wouldn't you know it "Bang" two Saturday's ago I was struck down by some cold bug. I had had great plans for that weekend to be in my craft room crafting up a storm but no it was not to be, I was on the couch for two days!!! Grrrr. I am only just coming right but I am pleased to say that I have been crafting this week YAY!!
The Monday night online class at Crafters Anonymous this week tested me!! For the life of me I could not get my card to sit right and then I realised I had not read the instructions properly!! Funny that! Anyway I am going to show you my botched card in all its glory. I'm sorry that my version does not show the true beauty of the card that Julia taught us.
