At 12.14am I gave birth to our youngest son Scott. Wow, my baby is 27..... the years have flown by. Its funny even though he is 27 and our eldest son will be 30 in July I still think of them as my baby boys!! Must be the mother thing.
Scott is quite set in his ways so we had to go to Lone Star Nelson for dinner last night because that is what he has done for the past 5 years! It was a great night, fab food and good company. Lots of laughs. We even got to watch the Breakers game - great win guys.
By the time we got home it was nearly midnight so I decided to stay up an extra quarter hour so I could text Scott but I think I fell asleep on the couch so it was 12.22am when I text him! He replied at 4.49am!!! Thank goodness my phone was out in the lounge and not in the bedroom lol.
Here is the card I made for him - its another take on Kristine's CA class.

I didn't get to see Scott today as he was golfing so will decide what to put in the envelope tomorrow. They are off to Canada in July so might put some US dollars in it.
Its also ANZAC Day here in New Zealand. Its a time to remember  those soldiers that have fallen in the line of duty. Lest we forget.

Thanks for looking. Happy crafting.

Embossed Box

Here's what we made last night at Crafters Anonymous. It was Suzanne's first time hosting a class and I think she did an exceptional job.

I just have to add a sentiment when the time comes - I  find that I am doing  that a lot more now. (Then I don't have to prize off the original sentiment and risk damaging the project).

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting.

Happy Birthday Ethan

It was my nephew's 8th Birthday yesterday. He lives in Townsville, Australia. I miss him and his sister Madison so much... Here's hoping they will come for a visit this Christmas.

This photo of him was taken in October 2010 when they came home for my son's wedding. He took a shine to our dog Richie... guess what he got for his Birthday - yep a puppy!!! She is a foxie called Mollie. He loves her to bits. This is the card I made him.

Gift Voucher Card

Isn't this a fab way to give a voucher. So much better than just putting it into a flat card. Kristine showed us how to make this style of card last night at Crafters Anonymous. I will be making many more of these as I tend to give vouchers/money for presents. I know its boring and the easy way out but I would rather give something that they will use rather than something that they throw into the cupboard and not use. I don't like wasting money....

Once again I have kept my card fairly simple - I seem to be in the phase at the moment lol.

itunes

My grand daughter Shyanne had a birthday party to go to last Sunday. I had seen an ipod card somewhere in blog land so I decided to make one for the birthday girl. I wanted to put some songs on the playlist but I had to ask Shyanne what songs to put on there as I am old! Had to have current songs and not ones from my era lol!

I must admit I liked the finished card and it was so nice when I went to the school yesterday that a couple of the kids that had been to the party came up to me and said "that it was awesome".
I have just noticed.... I am having a "Melon Mambo" phase... Check yesterdays post lol.

Easter Egg Box

Even though we know that Easter is not all about chocolate eggs, bunnies and hot cross buns it is nice to receive an egg and what better way to jazz up a plain foil wrapped egg - a fancy box!!! This is what the ladies made last night that attended the class I taught over at Crafters Anonymous.

I had so much fun - lots of chatter and laughing. The wonderful members of CA make the classes so easy. I remember my first class that I hosted last year and how I was shaking in my boots (thank goodness the ladies couldn't see me!) Being apart of CA has made me grow as a crafter - I am pleased Tia, Anne and Julia encouraged me to do a class. "Hugs"
