My two angels..

A quick post. Haven't been around much lately - life gets in the way. Here are two layouts that I have done of my grand daughter Shyanne and my niece Madison. They don't see each other very often as Madison lives in Australia but when they are together they have so much fun.
I have just noticed that I have not put a title on this one... Seems to be my thing of late, not quite finishing...

And this one is a scraplift of one of Trina McClune's class kits that my friend Brenda had. This layout is missing a resin angel just above the black fuzzy spot!!! I now have a new camera!!!

I have been through my photos and I can see myself making an album of just these two precious girls...
They are both so excited as Madison is coming back over in January... I dread to think what they will get up to then...

Happy scrapping

Mini Pullout Album

Last night it was my turn to take the Online class at Crafters Anonymous. It seems like forever since I did my last one - it was way before Christmas!!!!
I always struggle to come up with a project as we have some very talented ladies that do these classes. But the hard thing is to make the instructions simple as they do not know what they are making (unless they pick it up from the photos that we put up). Its always a fun hour or so... lots of silly talk and singing (not that we can hear each other lol)
Anywho this is the project that I showed them. Its a cute little pullout album. So easy to make (which is what I like).

I will have to find  some photos so that I can finish it.

See you again soon

Scrapfest Blog Hop

In August, as well as going to see "Pink" in Melbourne, I am attending a luxury scrapbooking weekend at the Grand Mecure in Nelson. It is being organised by Trina McClune and Lyn Jordan. We have some guest tutors as well. To get to know some of the people attending we have been doing lots of things via our Facebook page (swaps, secret santa, etc)  Today we are having a Scrapfest By The Sea Blog Hop. It's a great way for us to see each others work.

Here is an Off  The Page project that I did with my cousin for her shop. It's funny how you have an idea in your head and by the time you finish, the project is nowhere near that idea. And so it was with this project. I was doing damask designs but I couldn't find the right template. I had seen lots of cakes on the internet using butterflies as decorations so we ran with that idea. Love butterflies.. The photo doesn't do it justice...

Unfortunately we can't eat it as it is made from cake dummies and cardstock... lol
Now it is time to head to Brenda's blog

It's been a long time between drinks....

I mean blog posts!!! Life in the past two months has been extremely busy. My every day job, the family summer weekend job, the buildup to the grand daughters birthday party, Christmas and New Year and now its the build up to our son's wedding being held at our place in two weeks... Gosh I must remember to breath lol.
Anywho getting back to crafting... I participated in a Circle Journal that we held at Crafters Anonymous. It was the first time I have ever done anything like this. There were 7 participants and we had to pick a theme for our 6 x 6 Journal, design your cover, decorate two pages and then forward it to the next person on the list.
My theme was "What's in your handbag?" It amazes me what we put into our bags... I have everything but the kitchen sink in mine whereas some ladies have the bare minimum. My rules for my Journal were that they had to decorate their pages in the colour/s of their handbags, take a pic of their bag and contents and tell me why they liked their bag and what they could not be without. It was exciting each month to receive a new Journal to decorate - some were easy and others took a bit to work out. I received mine back just before Christmas and WOW I love it!
Here are some pics of my Journal just before I sent it off to Flo.

I will post pics of the finished Journal over the next few days.

Snap, Bang, Crack

goes the Christmas Cracker.... Gosh the kids loved singing this song at Reuben's Daycare.... Made us giggle everytime..
Tonight over at Crafters Anonymous Kristine taught us how to make cracker... I believe it is one of Delys Cram's creations and she kindly gave Kristine permission to use it tonight. I had seen cracker tutorials before and thought "I couldn't be bothered.." but I am in love with this one. It's easy peasy and I know I will be making more (teachers gifts)
