Sketch Challenge

Whenever I see "sketch challenge" I shudder. I am not the fastest scrapbooker in the world - the process of choosing papers, pictures, etc takes me such a long time. I suppose "slow and steady wins the race" is how I scrapbook. But since doing a layout with the talented Trina McClune I am getting faster. Anne set the "sketch challenge" for ABMT and I must say I absolutely enjoyed doing this layout and it only took me two hours...!!! Don't laugh as that is really quick for me.

This is my last post for ABMT - roll on next year.

Cupcake Card

This is Kristine's ABMT 3d project. The cutest cupcake card! To read the sentiment you pull the icing off the cupcake. Sneaky.....

Are they just the cutest sprinkles..!!!!

Chocolate time..

Did that get your attention? This is the project that Julia gave us for last weekend's ABMT. It's a very snazzy way to give a cake of chocolate (Aero size). And the secret is you just have to pull up the ribbon to get it out. I shusshed mine up a bit and made it look like a cake of chocolate.

Another slice of cake?

Don't ya just love this cake box! This is Suzanne's 3d project from Sunday's ABMT. It reminds me of a slice of Wedding cake - vanilla flavour with a yummy vanilla filling... Isn't the rose on top cute? Years ago I tried to make icing flowers like this, paper one's are easier to make lol

I still have a couple more projects to show you  and yes, they are food related!!!

Cake Anyone?

Are you getting the feeling that my life revolves around food??? The theme for ABMT was Cupcakes and Chocolate - both very dear to my heart!!!
Tia put up a Colour Challenge for us and it was to use neutrals... The first thing that came to my head was chocolate cake, swirly piped icing and a delicious chocolate filling - YUM - my mouth is just drooling thinking about it. This is what I made - it is so cute and best of all no calories. I sprayed the "piping" with gold smooch and it just looks like fairy dust!!

I still have a few more projects to show you and yes they are food related too!

Cupcakes anyone??

Yesterday was a massive online crafting day at Crafters Anonymous. 7 projects, 30 ladies and $745 raised for the Australia's Biggest Morning Tea  which is a fund raiser for the Australian Cancer Research Council. It was so much fun and man can those ladies craft fast!!! I am pleased I was part of the Admin team as I would not have been able to complete all 7 projects in the day. There was heaps of prizes - congrats to the lucky winners.
My project was a "Recipe Challenge". I had to list the "ingredients" and the ladies had to make something using them. I threw in a curve ball ingredient - a toothpick!  Here is what I made as my example.

The ladies did an awesome job - very creative! Especially Lyn F who didn't have a toothpick or skewer so she coloured a cotton bud!!! Who would have thought????
Over this coming week I post pics of the other six projects. Thanks to all the ladies who participated - YOU ROCKED!!!!

Here are the pics of the last two weeks CA Monday night onlines classes. This is what we made with Tania Cordie - a very cool bag
And last Monday Tia showed us how to make this card. It's called a mini aperture card - I made mine into a shaker card.

Two very cool projects.

Sour Cream Containers

Funny name for a simple and quick project to put choccys, lollies or even jewllery in! We made this last night over at Crafters Anonymous with the talented Julia Leece. They are just so cute!

As the two grand kids were here I had to make two of them. The hardest part was finding some choccys to put in them as my grandson is a bit of a chocoholic!! Today after school, we made cupcakes and he wanted to lick the icing off the beaters. So he and his sister had one beater each and Shyanne said "Oh this is yummy" and Reuben said "Not as good as chocolate". I had a little giggle to myself.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting.
