Finally

a photo of the Wedding Invite. I am so pleased that we took the time and effort to make the invitations. We have had so many compliments and even had people ask us where they were made!

I wish I could have taken a better photo but the weather has not been the best for photos. This looks so much better in real life!

Thanks for looking

You're Invited....

My youngest son, Scott and his fiance, Alesha are getting married in October. I offered to make their Wedding Invitations. As soon as Leshy saw the So Swirly Wheel she wanted it to be on the invites. So after alot of trials and variations we decided on a design. We got all of the components together and one Saturday night (when the All Blacks were playing) me, Leshy and her mum Paula set to stamping, embossing, cutting, taping. We got heaps done in 2 1/2 hours. It was so much fun. They look fabulous (even if I do say so myself). But guess what...... I forgot to take a photo of the finished invite! So I will just tease you with a collage of some of what we did that night. Even Richie, the dog, got in on the act!!

As soon as I get a photo, I will upload it for you.

I have a signature

Tonight at Swap Sisters we are adding a signature to our blog posts. (Well, I have been trying to...) This is part of our Wednesday night Creative Computer Classes. We are taught by very the talented and extremely patient Tia Routledge.
I was having a lot of trouble to put my signature here as every time I added it, it had a black background which is not what I wanted. After finding out what system I was running, Tia told me to download Firefox and low and behold I now have a signature in my fav colour!!!

HOLDEN WINS!!!!!!

Well, I have my fingers crossed. My family are ardent HOLDEN fans. The menfolk have all the gear (caps, shirts, polarfleeces, jackets.....). We drive HOLDENS. Even the grandchildren are in on the act. HOLDENS ROCK a NanNan - Fords are scuzzy!! I drive a purple SS and a couple of years ago I took my grandaughter to visit my sister's family who live in Townsville. Guess what she drives - a purple Ford!! (They are Ford fans) I had to lower myself and drive it (joking) - Shyanne would duck so that people couldn't see her!! Can you see her hiding her eyes...

Punch Art Tuesday at Swap Sisters http://swapsisters.ning.com/, the lovely Anne had us make a car (we don't know what we are making when we begin - we just follow Anne's instructions). It was so much fun. Lots of guessing as to what it could be.... The challenge is always to make something with our finished punch art. I decided with the V8 Supercars being on this weekend, in Townsville, that I would do a Race Finish Line with HOLDEN winning!

Well, have I had ribbing from my "friends at Swap Sisters". Its always good the red v blue debate. I even sent my BIL Holden curtains for his Birthday once - he burnt them!

Edited: Unfortunately Ford won in Townsville

Thank you for looking.

My Baby Is 28!!

Boy, does that make me feel old. (No, not really. Age is only a number - right) I have two sons and Brad is my eldest. He is the father of my two fabulous grandchildren and he is bringing them up on his own. I am so proud of him as not many men can or are willing to do that. Anywhoo - he is not one for alot of fuss for his birthday (not like my other son) so it makes it quite hard to
1. Get the perfect present (gift card) and 2. Decide what card to make.
I did a fair bit of blogsurfing and came across this card on the bouncy Lynda's blog http://123easypc.blogspot.com/. I semi-cased the card - I don't have many male stamps so just went with the sentiment. I think the tabs are decoration enough.

Pretty In Pink

Connecting ATC's was Mel's challenge this week over at Swap Sisters http://swapsisters.ning.com/. ATC's are like little pieces of art. In saying that, it doesn't mean that they are quicker to do than larger pieces of art. We had to use a background stamp and a punch. I tried a few themes before deciding to go with pink and hearts.
