How excited are they?

On Saturday the Crusaders played the Sharks at Trafalgar Park in Nelson. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the game as I was busy cooking hot dogs and chips for all the spectators. I took my two grandchildren with me and two of their friends. As it was a do or die game for the Crusaders they decided that they had to be flying the flag for the red and blacks. But the best part of their night was having their photo taken with Richie McCaw. My 5 year old grandson was beside himself as Sonny Bill was wearing different coloured boots - who would have noticed that!?

After their win they have now travelled to South Africa to play another do or die game - fingers crossed!!!! We are hoping that the Crusaders win and the Blues win and then the final will be played in Wellington - which would mean a trip to Wellywood to watch it!

Two days of Swaps

Such a busy day yesterday so I didn't get a chance to show you what I got from Rhonda.
Day 10 was Something to Post. Isn't this compendium with 4 cards just the best!! I went outside the square and made some felt embellishments so that when Rhonda had scrapped or made a card with them she could then "post" them on her blog.

Today it is Something Sparkly. Rhonda has made me the cutest luminare with a battery candle inside. The photo does not do it justice as it has lots of sparkle and when the light is on it flickers.

Here's my first attempt at jewellery. Earrings made out of SU brads.

It's going to be a sad day tomorrow - the last day of our Mid Winter Bash.

Happy crafting.

Wheely nice

Day 9: Something to stamp

I got this fab wheel stamp from Rhonda today. I love how she wrapped it too.

I was a bit stumped as to what to do for this day so I altered a journal for her.

The picture below is what Rhonda sent me yesterday. Fab earrings and a bracelet - gorgeous!!

Gosh the days are flying by - only 3 more days of this swap to go!!! It has been so much fun and I even have my mum asking me "what did you get today?"

Something Pretty

I got a fantastic pair of earrings and a bracelet from Rhonda today. The neat thing is that Rhonda made them. I have left my camera at work so I will have to post a pic tomorrow.
Here is a pic of the candle that I sent her.

I am so loving this swap - there are some amazing projects that I will have to keep in mind for the next one that we have!!

Just the thing for today!!!

Day 7: Something Wintery.

It was another horrible morning here so opening my present this morning certainly brightened my day. YUMMY. A big bag of marshmallows and 2 tubes of hot chocolate. Inside the card is another sachet of hot chocolate and the box contains a little pack of tissues.

I sent Rhonda a coffee mug with a packet of "Snowman Soup".

Happy crafting.

Something to Make

Day 5 has been great. I got a gingerbread man punchart card (it is soo cute) and on the inside is a Gingerbread Loaf recipe. So the title for today is "Something to make" so I made the loaf and they smell divine as I write this.
I also got a fabric applique kit which also happens to be a gingerbread girl. I can't wait to try my hand at making her.

I sent Rhonda a jar of Brownie ingredients.

Now where am I going to hide them from my hubby...????

Something Smelly

Day 4 of the Mid Winter Bash Swap and I could certainly smell my goodies. A lovely top note shaped lavender bag (lavender from Rhonda's own garden) and a handmade soap in a cake slice box. Just gorgeous.

I sent Rhonda a bottle of Eternal Magic perfume. I tried to make bath salts and bath bombs but they didn't turn out too good so I took the easy way and bought something!!

It's a wet day in Motueka today so I will hopefully get some scrapbooking done. I am not a scrapbooker so it will be interesting (perhaps I should set myself a time limit otherwise they might turn out to be the longest in the making of layout history)

MWB Day 3 - Something Yummy

I received these gorgeous milk cartons (love the decorations) and they were filled with yummy choccys. I was really good and didn't have one. One because I am on a diet and two because it was 7 o'clock in the morning!!! I will have to hide these from the grand kids and my hubby.

I sent Rhonda an altered tin filled with "Favourites" chocolates.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring... Can't wait!

Mid Winter Bash

It seems a funny title as it doesn't feel like Winter (as yet). I have still been wearing t shirts - unbelievable for May!!!
In December Crafters Anonymous had a 12 Days of Christmas Swap and it was so successful that we decided to have another in Winter. My swappee is Rhonda. It has been so much fun making goodies for her. I received her box of goodies last week and I was so good I didn't even open it until yesterday. My family thought I was mad but I knew if I did I would have poked and prodded!

Something to Hang: A wall hanging and a key rack.

This is what I sent Rhonda:

Something Altered: A tin full of handmade embellishments

My gift to Rhonda

It is so much fun and we are only on the second day - ten to go!!! If you would like to be apart of this brilliant craft group send me an email motfarm@xtra.co.nz and I will send you an invite.
