Birthday Party

My grandson had his Birthday party on Sunday. He wanted to go to the Skatepark and GoKart track with his motorbike and he wanted to take our dodgem go karts so that his mates could have rides. All his friends brought their bikes or scooters and I bet there were some very tired little munchkins that night. They didn't sit still.... Only stopping for food and drinks!

Yay - I got it....

Tonights class at Crafters Anonymous was taken by Debi. She had us make a mini scrapbook album out of a piece of A4 cardstock. As I am on the Admin team I got a heads up during the week for the tutorial but I must of had a severe blonde moment as for the life of me I just could not get it!!! So on my second attempt tonight and still not being able to get it I had a light bulb moment and "voila" it came to me. YAY!!! It's a fabulous wee thing. Haven't completed it as I need photos printed.

Grandson's 6th Birthday

Six years ago today our grandson was born. He is a boisterous, loud, chatty, cheeky, cuddly 6 year old boy. He is fast becoming the "mini me" of my hubby. Pop loves watching Westerns. If Reuben is at our place and he has to go home, he always asks if there is a Western on "cors him and Pop will just have to watch it".
This is the card I made for him using the fabulous Extreme Elements stamp set. He has a four wheel motorbike that he drives so I thought the bike stamp would be appropriate for him. I am pleased to say that he loved his card (Phew)


Here he is on his pogo stick he got for his Birthday - he will have to practice to master it.

As well as it being his Birthday it is also Valentines day so HAPPY VALENTINES to you.

Desk Caddy

It was my turn to take the Monday night class at Crafters Anonymous and this is what we made.
I have seen lots of different styles on the internet and thought it would be a good idea to make something for a male for a change.

Photo Cube

Our first class at Crafters Anonymous after the Christmas break was this neat photo cube. Unfortunately I don't have any photos printed off to go on it yet. I stuck all my sides down but it will be fantastic as a gift box too.

Gate fold card

Last night over at Crafters Anonymous we made this fab card. I just love how you can use your punches to create something a bit different. I made my card as a Valentine card (not that I will give it to anyone). To keep it closed I made a belly band. They are a good way to use up your bits and pieces - I found the beading lying around (I bought it years ago when I was making the clothes for my ceramic dolls that I had made) .

Hot and Spicy...

I spent my Waitangi Day making Tomato sauce. I don't usually make it in the heat of summer - I prefer to make it in the Winter. And when I make it I wonder why I do as I am the only one in my family that likes it. My kids and grand kids prefer Watties!!!

I can't wait to try it.... yum!
