One more sleep....

Thats what my grandys have been telling me all day. I am ready for tomorrow. I've cooked, shopped, wrapped, cleaned - yea. I have bought a few gift cards for the older folk in our families so I made matchbook folders for them to go in. I recently made a few clamshell boxes and this one is perfect for our son's partners pressy.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I hope you have a fab day tomorrow and you get lots of goodies.

I am making my Christmas cake as I write this, I have to finish my Christmas present shopping, I have to wrap said shopping, I have to make a boysenberry cheesecake, I have to do housework but apart from that I am done!! hehe I have approximately 34 hours.

On the 9th & 10th Day.....

of Christmas, my true love gave to me......
Alot of goodies to go with Day 6
and a folder that when I opened it held two letters: 1 to Santa and 1 from Santa (very funny)

This the card and tin that I made my granddaughter for her Birthday. The other photos are of her with her Justin Bieber doll that me and Pop gave her and me and Shyanne having a pedicure. It was such a great day, me and her doing girly things!! We went out to lunch - at McDonalds (as its my day Nan Nan!)

Look at her face as they are painting her nails Christmas Red!!

Four more sleeps ....... till the man in the red suit comes. I had better get cracking.

On the 8th Day.... and Shyanne's Birthday

Another day of opening a pressy - yea!! Its absolutely pouring with rain here today and getting this pretty candle certainly brightened my day! Lisa has decorated it in one of my fav Stampin' Up stamp sets "Vintage Vogue" and colour "Rich Razzleberry.
Yesterday was a big day for my grand daughter Shyanne - she had her 9th Birthday party (its not her Birthday until tomorrow) with her friends. She wanted to go swimming so we had the party at our local school. It was great - about 10 or so kids - lots of junk food and heaps of swimming. I always make the cake (am I mad) and this year she wanted a swimming pool cake Unexpected dramas happened through the week so I didn't have the usual time to decorate it so it was a bit rushed - must have been ok as it all went. My nephews 3 year old son had been eyeing it up all day and after everyone had had a piece he decided to redecorate it!! It was so cute as he was singing "Happy Birthday" while he was doing it.

Thanks for looking - Have a great day.

Sunday Challenge

The task this fortnight for the Sunday Challenge at Crafters Anonymous was to use two things from your stash that you have had sitting around for a while. I found this M and the crown(along with lots of other things!) and have decorated it for my niece. This is to replace the one I made for her a few years ago - it fell onto the floor and broke. I hope she likes the new version.

Thanks for looking.

On the 6th and 7th Day of Christmas....

On the 5th Day of Christmas .....

Look what I got today.....

A fab box with a little poem telling me why I got a packet of Cupcake mix - very funny. I had the grand kids last night and they were there when I opened the pressy - they have put their name on the packet of m&m's that is attached to the mix. (Nan nan will have to think about that .... lol)

Another happy thing happening today - it's RAINING!!! Yea - we so need it!

Happy Birthday To You

My little sis has a birthday next Tuesday and as she lives in Townsville I thought I had better get my a into g and make her a card, buy a pressy and send it to Oz so that hopefully she will receive it by Tuesday. Personally I think I am pushing it as it can sometimes take 10 days to get to Townsville. Anywho the brain was a bit fuddled so I decided to CASE a card from the Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin Up and this is the one that took my fancy. Loving the birdcages in the Aviary stampset.

Aren't those birds cute? Hope Lee likes my card and her pressys - I am sure she will laugh as I didn't give her the usual girly things instead I got her a pair of Speights jandals that has a bottle opener on the sole and an All Black stubby cooler. I also sent her a covered notebook but forgot to take a photo of that.

My First Christmas Card

After spending the night camping with my grandkids and my mum I was shattered and tired. Its full on living in a camper with littlies but it is sooo much fun. After having a little nana nap I thought I would try to do a little crafting. This is what I came up with - I have taken ideas from Andrea Walford and Sherri Baron.

Hope you are having a great Saturday. Thanks for looking.

Yea, Its Saturday

Time for rest and recreation - yeah right! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get a bit (hopefully alot) of time to craft. Have a few projects that I HAVE to finish. I got sidetracked last night over at Crafters Anonymous - the lovely Lisa was doing a Flip Top Box class. What a cute little box. I can see myself making a few of these in the days to come.

Gosh I wish I knew how to edit my photos properly. I use Picasa to edit but when I upload from there to here they go back to original photo - go figure...

Have a good day and thanks for looking.

Non-traditional Christmas Colour with Movement

That was Lyn's challenge to us over at Crafters Anonymous. We could make anything as long as it was Christmas themed, not your usual Christmas colours and it had to have movement. Do you think Pumpkin Pie fits the bill?

Once Upon A Time....

Well, it is sort of a fairytale. Our youngest son and his lovely fiance got married last weekend. They have have been together for 9 years. During this time they have had good times and bad times. They bought their first home together, moved in together and four months later our son had a massive stroke at 21 years of age. We were told that he probably wouldn't survive so you can imagine the tears that were flowing on their Wedding Day.
