Using my stash...

Here is my take on an album that was featured on Stampin' Fun and Friends. I joined up for the fcurrent round and I am so pleased I did. The ladies are fabulous and they come up with some fab projects.
The original project for this album was a sandcastle/beach theme but I couldn't find a template for a sandcastle so I went to my stash and found a Kaisercraft album and decorated that. I also used retired DSP. I am making a conscious effort to reduce my stash before I buy new stuff - I don't know how long it will last before I succumb to new goodies especially with a new catty coming out on 1 September. But I am pleased to say that I am making a dent in my stash albeit a small one!

Chocolate Covered Suit

I love projects that involve chocolate... and tonight's class at Crafters Anonymous didn't disappoint. Kristine took the class and we made this neat gift box. A very clever way to "hide" a cake of chocolate. I will be giving one of these to my Dad for Father's Day (hopefully the chocolate will survive until Sunday)

And the added bonus with this project is that you can adjust the sizing so that the suit will fit a Whittakers Peanut Slab (yum). I will have to attempt one of those during the week.

Call the fire brigade...

Monday night's class at Crafters Anonymous was a mixture of concentration and laughter. The lovely Anne showed how to make flowers out of fabric. Easy you might think... no, she threw in fire!!! I cut out 3 different types of fabric and set to them with a bbq lighter. OMG the first one caught fire! I was trying to put it out without throwing it onto the floor.. hubby was wondering what on earth was happening.. I didn't bother finishing that one. By the time I got to the third piece of fabric I was under control AND it wasn't as flammable as the first one lol. I ended up by putting my flower onto a card. So many possibilities - wish I had a vintage button and then I could put it onto a scrapbooking layout.

Who would have thought???

I normally throw out my empty toilet rolls but a few weeks ago Suzanne taught us how to make a mini book out of them. It was another fantastic class held at Crafters Anonymous. Four toilet rolls, pretty paper and some rings and "voila" a little book. How cool is that?

Diorama Card

I have been incredibly slack of late with my blog posts.. life got in the way and something had to give.
Any who, a few weeks back Anne took the class at Crafters Anonymous and she taught us how to make a Diorama card. I made mine into a Christmas card but I didn't go for the usual Christmas colours..
