Tuesday Pinterest Challenge

Tia and Anne started up a Challenge for those of us that are hooked on Pinterest. We have to make something that we have seen on Pinterest and then post a pic of it onto the FB CA page.
Oh my goodness so many projects and so little time - its a big decision on what to do... I decided to go with this card as I didn't have much time.


Mine is not as good as the original but at least I now have another card made for my Birthday box.

A Rose by any other name

On Monday night we had the talented Deb Speijers as a Guest teacher for the Crafters Anonymous Monday night class. She taught us this beautiful flower. I nearly got RSI with all the punching and sponging, lol but it was alot of fun and the flower is HUGE! For some reason I just made the flower and didn't even think to put it onto a box/container... Duh!!

Finally a Wedding Layout

After 20 months of marriage I have finally done a scrapbook layout of my youngest son's wedding. I know.... how bad is that????
Any who, there was a challenge over at Scappit on FB to do a page with stamping. I knew that I wanted to do one of my fav photos of Scott and Alesha but after faffing around for a few hours with one idea I decided that I would mimmick their wedding invite. "Voila" and in an hour it was done... Lots of versamark and silver embossing powder involved but I must say I am pretty pleased with the end result.

It's beer now Mike...!!

Here's a card I made for an old mate who is going through tough times at the moment. I have told him when he gets better that I want to have a drink with him for old times sakes. When we were very young (I was 18 months approx and Mike 2 1/2 years) my parents went to Mike's parents for a Christmas do and apparently we disappeared and when they found us we were a bit tiddly from drinking miniature bottles of spirits..... I can still remember being behind the couch and the china cabinet that housed the little bottles!!!

I found this card on that fabulous site Pinterest (lol). I also entered it into Crafters Anonymous Facebook Tuesday Pinterest Challenge started by Tia and Anne. Roll on next Tuesday!

We had another great class last night at Crafters Anonymous. It was taken by the lovely Julia and we made a 3 panel lace up card. Very groovy - reminds me of a corset...

Swinging Butterflies..

Last Monday was my night to take the online class for Crafters Anonyous. A few months ago I had seen this style of card somewhere in blogland and so I made one for a swap that I was involved in. I really enjoyed making it so I decided to recreate it for my class.





Gosh I love the butterfly dies....

Sketch Challenge

Whenever I see "sketch challenge" I shudder. I am not the fastest scrapbooker in the world - the process of choosing papers, pictures, etc takes me such a long time. I suppose "slow and steady wins the race" is how I scrapbook. But since doing a layout with the talented Trina McClune I am getting faster. Anne set the "sketch challenge" for ABMT and I must say I absolutely enjoyed doing this layout and it only took me two hours...!!! Don't laugh as that is really quick for me.

This is my last post for ABMT - roll on next year.
