MIA....

Wow, has it been that long since I last blogged? What is my excuse you may ask? Our youngest son, Scott and his beautiful fiance Alesha got married last weekend. They have been a couple for nine years (they are only 25!! - High School Sweethearts) What a fabulous day we had. It was such a busy time leading up to it, that I haven't done much crafting at all unless it was for the Wedding. Here is the card that I made for them. I CASED it from somewhere on the net (ESAD or SU Aus/NZ) but I forgot to write the creators name down (I apologise)

I will post some photos of Wedding tomorrow. I have spent most of Labour Day pottering away in my craft room and its feels GREAT!! As the song says "ITS GOOD TO BE BACK".

Sunday Challenge

Here's my entry for the Sunday Challenge at Crafters Anonymous. We had an hour to make anything we wanted. The challenge was to use the following colours: orange, cream. blue, brown, green and white. Of these colours we had to use a minimum of three and the main colour had to be orange.

This is what I have been doing...

all weekend along with a lot of help from my hubby. It was a very trying day yesterday in the garden. It rained on and off all day so my hubby put up a shelter so we could carry on regardless!! He's such a treasure.... We still have to finish the paving and stoning of the the side garden as I didn't get enough pavers and stones! Its so frustrating when you want to finish but can't as the landscape place is not open at the weekends. The gardens, etc are looking great - isn't Spring a magical time. I have a few daffodils still flowering and lots of new growth on my plants.

As a treat for my hubby for being a sweetie for doing this for me (and he hasn't moaned) I am cooking him roast pork for dinner and then we might even have dessert. I know this doesn't sound much, but for me to cook a decent meal at the weekend its a major!!! lol

A quick post today

Here's a neat card to make out of an envelope. I think its quite nice to shush up the envelope (make it into a mini artwork) as I sometimes think why bother with an envelope as we just throw them into the bin. We did this at Crafters Anonymous last week but the tutorial was here.

I hope you are having a great weekend.

TGIF

Ya, its Friday. The end of a busy week - sick grand kids, spending the day at the netball courts watching grand daughter playing netball, zumba classes, work, going to a recorder and choir recital at school and just dealing with everyday life.
Its now 29 days until my youngest son gets married (am getting excited) and still heaps to do around the house. My hubby and I went and got river stones and paving bricks today for the new gardens that I am making. And guess what ... the weather is meant to be horrendous - a storm the size of Australia is meant to be coming this way. We will just have to work in the rain!!!! If it is too wet and windy I will just have to craft.
This week at Crafters Anonymous Anne gave us a link to here and we made a cute mini purse/bag which can be used to hold cards (3 1/2" x 4 1/2"). These would make lovely little gifts for your nana, kids teacher, etc. Here is my version minus the cards as I haven't made them yet...

Have a good weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY'S....

I have had a run on Birthday cards lately. My 4 year old grandson has been to four Birthday parties in a month, my stepmum had a significant Birthday and the lady next to our business turned 84. Here is a selection of the cards that I made.

MIA.....

My goodness it seems like forever since I last blogged. I have been busy gardening, painting, etc as our son gets married in 6 weeks time. I painted our pergola yesterday - 5 hours and its still not finished! Just under half done.....
Hence I haven't done alot of crafting apart from the necessary birthday cards, etc. So tonight at craftersanonymous the lovely Lisa Bullock had a quick and easy project for us. I have made mine into a Fathers Day card - some of the other ladies made theirs into a Recipe apron.

I will put a gift card into the pocket and that will be my dads pressy and card done!! Happy Fathers Day Dad - love ya!
