My hubby, his mate, our two sons, our nephew and their mate went on a roadie to the All Black test in Dunedin. They left home on Friday morning at 5.30am and it seemed forever until I had finished work and was able to craft... Not that I got much done Friday night as I was taking the grandys to and from their school disco... Different ages so different times...
Saturday morning I went up to my craft room and off I went... I sorted my retired SU DSP's and I am embarrassed to say that I found quite a few unopened packs... Some of the other DSP's I found go back a few years so I started googling and surfing the net and found a tutorial for a bag that is made from one piece of 12 x 12 paper.. I now have 6 bags made - I thought I would make them for Shyanne's end of year class gift. At least that will get rid of nearly 30 pieces of paper. Other things I did at the weekend was: made up 2 CA class samples; made a mini album (an ufo); found stuff on Pinterest (love that place); and I did a scrapbook page in under a hour!
A very productive weekend for me in the crafting department but not so in the socialising department. The only time I went off the property was to go to the supermarket and get some firelighters.... I have had a visit from my mum today and my next door neighbour has bought me a pizza for tea so at least I have had some human interaction. The family are on their way home but not sure if they will come all the way tonight.. It's a good 10 hour driving time trip without stops...
This is the layout that I did today - must say I am pleased with it. I have used stuff leftover from some kits that I had. Yay, that's some more stash used lol.

My turn...
Last night it was my turn to take the online class at Crafters Anonymous. I must admit it was a doddle compared to my very first class. OMG I was so nervous and made mistakes but with the fabulous CA Team and the lovely CA members I got to the end (admittedly relieved).
The ladies last night were taken blind (they don't know what they are making) through my instructions and they did well. It's fun especially when they are trying to guess what it might be! At the end of the night they had made a Box Card. Here are my examples.

Heartfelt Day
I can't believe it is a week since I was in Christchurch attending the SU Heartfelt Day with fellow SU demos and crafty ladies. I was so excited as my friend Julia was coming from Auckland (and she was doing a presentation) and I was meeting fellow Crafters Anonymous ladies who I chat online with. AND it was the launch of SU's new year catalogue AND a holiday catalogue. So much excitement in a day....
Everybody was full of anticipation and we weren't disappointed. There were fabulous presentations from Emma, Sophie, Amanda, Paula and Julia - very talented ladies!! After lunch we went to the Product Playground and played with lots of lovely new stuff which was probably not a good thing as now I want everything!!!! After playing we had make & takes where SU provided everything and we had four projects to make. As it had been a very long day (thanks to my friend Julia arriving at 7-30am and the Karen's getting up at 6am to go and get her) I only did one but I completed them today so I will show you them over the next few days.
It was so good to catch up with everyone especially the ladies that are involved with CA - good to put faces to names irl!! Hi to Julie, Trina, Lisa, Grace. To Cindy thanks for looking after me until the others arrived, Karen L and Karen H it was fab to meet you and to my friend Julia - yep I am sure we are sisters!!! The five of us had such a ball that I cannot wait until the next time we catch up... My tummy muscles were sore from laughing so much. It just goes to show that you can meet amazing people on the net.
