My grand daughter Shyanne had a disco at her school last Friday night and the theme was "Black and White". I had helped my mum make one of these for my niece in Australia and thought it would look good done in black and white (supporting the All Blacks, of course).
I bought a cheap t shirt from the Warehouse and a pack of black buttons from Spotlight and weewho an original t shirt was born. Shyanne loved it so all the stitching was worth it and she had a fab time at the disco too.
Happy crafting.

My Monday Night Class
Tonight was my turn to take a class at Crafters Anonymous. I was going to do something else but then I saw this somewhere in blog land and it fitted in nicely with a Birthday that was coming up. So tonight Matthew ... oh thats right it's not "Star's in your eyes" we made a Hydrangea flower.
As a kid I didn't like these flowers as they reminded me of old ladies and spiders!!! But now I love them. It fascinates me how they can change colour depending whether your soil is acid or alkaline!!! Last year before my sons wedding I made a new garden and I planted white ones and they are still white (so does that make my soil neutral)
I am quite pleased how my card turned out and as it was the lady next door to work 85th Birthday I gave it to her. She loves flowers and has had an amazing garden over the years. The card I made for her last year has rolled flowers on it and it is still on her cabinet in her lounge! She's always showing people it (gotta love her for that)

The opening game of the RWC in New Zealand. My hubby and his mate are flying to Auckland this afternoon for it and they are soooo excited!!! They are big rugby fans so they have been waiting for this day for a few years. Of course they are backing the ALL BLACKS (what other team is there??).
Have a good weekend you two, you deserve it!!! GO THE ALL BLACKS!!!

Happy Father's Day Dad
I will not be seeing my Dad today but him and my step mum are coming to dinner on Tuesday night. I did ring him tho and he was going to have a good afternoon as his music friends were going to his place for a practise/jam session.
I was meant to make his and my fil's card yesterday but I was on a mission cleaning/sorting my craft room (that's a whole other story!!) . And then I ended up babysitting the 3 grandchildren so there was no chance to get upstairs for crafting and this morning it was so full on that the time ran away with me so I had to think of something quick to make. I decided that I didn't have time to make a card and a matchbook to hold a voucher so I combined the two!!! (matchard????) I kept it simple which was lucky as my fil was coming down the drive when I was just finishing them off lol.
My grand daughter Shyanne made this for her dad, with a little help from me.
She liked how I had used the white pen on my project so she just had to use white pen too!!!
To all the dads out there I hope you have had a great day.
Happy crafting.
