21st Birthday

Tonight it is my son's partner's 21st Birthday. It is a fancy dress party - yay that saves spending money on a new outfit!! I have my outfit sorted, have bought the pressy and here is the card. For some reason I decided to use Mambo Melon/Whisper White/Black for the card and, as it happens, the gift box her charms came in is black so I will tie that up with Mambo Melon ribbon and my outfit is bright pink!!! Co-ordinated in every aspect!

My take on Anzac Day...

Here's the card I made for Monday nights Online Class with Tia at Crafters Anonymous. Its a spinner card - such a lot of fun to make.
This is my interpretation of ANZAC Day. I used Poppy Parade ink, cardstock and ribbon. The stampset reminded me of poppies.

Today is a double special day as its ANZAC Day in New Zealand and Australia and it's also my son's 26th Birthday. Here is the card that I made him.

Easter Swap 2

Good morning on this wet and grey day in Motueka, New Zealand. It's a double edged sword today for me as I was meant to be working at the Drag Races but its been postponed until tomorrow so that means I can now craft!!! I had better not WHOOP WHOOP until my hubby is out of hearing range!
Here's is my Easter Swap from Yvonne. It was full of Cadbury (my favourite) hollow eggs. So yummy. Thank you so much.

Easter Swap

At Crafters Anonymous we have just completed an Easter Swap. We were given a "swappie" and had to make a bag/box (which of course had to include chocolate) and a card to send to them.

Swaps are so much fun to be apart of - mind you, I do ponder for quite awhile deciding on what I will make. Lots of blog hopping looking for inspiration!

This is what I made for my "swappie" Yvonne. I will post Yvonne's swap to me tomorrow.

Bows & Bags

Last night at Crafters Anonymous Julia took the online class. She had us cutting, twisting, gluing strips of paper. And after we had finished doing that we did some tracing, cutting, scoring, gluing and look what we ended up with. This stunning paper bow and a pillow box bag (which I can tell you will hold heaps of goodies - read chocolate!)

Easter Bunny

It's my nephew Ethan's Birthday on the 18th and Easter next weekend. That means two cards to make - not a problem I hear you say - but it is if I want them to get to Townsville from NZ by the 18th!! Anyway I have managed to finish them tonight so I will be posting them tomorrow along with some chocolate goodies for Ethan and his sister Madison and some money for Ethan.
For Ethan's birthday card I have used a brayering technique - this is a technique that I have done once before (you can check it out here)




I wanted a bunny on Madison and Ethan's Easter card and I found this cute bunny and carrot here.

Cupcakes Anyone?

I took the class at Crafters Anonymous tonight (bit of a jittery start but I got there in the end.) What a great turnout - thank you to all that attended. I had seen a few Cupcake boxes on the web so I decided to make one. Here's my version of what the ladies made tonight.

No Crafting Just Baking

Its the grand children's school Fiesta today so I volunteered to make some cakes for the cake stall. I made cupcakes, chocolate cakes and banana cakes. Gosh that's a lot of icing! I hope they sell lol.

Bird in a Cage

Here's a card I made last night. I had to CASE this card from Sharlene Meyer as it uses the Aviary set which is one of my favourites. I changed the colours but I am still happy with the outcome.
