Wow - what a day

Today has been the most fun I have had for a long time. Over at Crafters Anonymous we have had a fundraiser day for "Australia's Biggest Morning Tea". (ABMT raises funds for cancer)

Six of us on the Admin team all did a project. Debi was first up with a Teacup Easel card, I was next with a Coffee/Tea Wallet. Jane had us doing the Cracked Glass technique, we made a Punch Art Daffodil with Julia. Tia gave us a Sketch Challenge and Anne a Colour Combo Challenge. It was full on from 1pm - 8pm NZ time. Everyone that attended had a good time and boy there are some brilliant finished projects .

Thanks to everyone that made today such a fab day - YOU ROCK. Oh and we raised $501.

Happy crafting.

Wow - its been a week

Where has that week gone? I've been so busy doing my Mid Winter Bash swaps and sorting out my project for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea that everything else has been put on the back burner!
I haven't even blogged about Monday night's class held on 16 May with Jane. So here's the very late pic of the Pizza Box we made. So easy.

Cruise to Nowwhere

This is what I did over the weekend, well, from Thursday through to Sunday. Me, my DIL Alesha, her Mum Paula and her Aunty Gillian had a great time on the Pacific Pearl. We left Auckland Thursday afternoon and sailed to Great Barrier Island and moored there until Saturday when we sailed back to Auckland.
The FOOD - omg the FOOD!!! I put on 2 kgs but it was worth it. It was a full on 4 days. So many things to do. We walked, did pilates, went to talks, did quilling, made crepe paper flowers, went to bingo, learned a salsa dance, read, had a facial and massage. It was awesome. Came home so tired.

Don't you just love the towel animals our cabin steward Archie made us. Not to be outdone Alesha thought she would give him one of her towel chickens!!

Back to reality - but also back crafting which is good.

Funky Fold Card Class

Last night at Crafters Anonymous it was my turn to host the Online class. I blog surfed for days trying to get inspiration and I finally came up with the Funky Fold Card. My prototype was too big for standard size envelopes so I had to adjust it to fit (thanks Julia). It was a fab class with lots of lovely ladies joining in the fun.
Here's the card that I made for the actual class. I also decided to do a male card - these are my hardest to make.

Here's a picture of my prototype. I am not a big fan of this colour (puke pink). I tend to use colours/patterns that I am not keen on to do my prototypes lol.

Happy crafting.

A Special Card

Look what my grandson Reuben made me for Mother's Day. A little "decoupage" photo frame and a card. I just love the words "To Nan, Happy Mothers Day". Mwah how cute is that - I know his teacher Miss Tyree would have helped him but I love it!! Thank you Reuben.

I have had a lovely day. I took my mum and my mother in law and grand daughter to Nelson. While I had my nails done, they went shopping and then we met up with the rest of the family and had a beautiful lunch at "Smugglers" in Tahunanui.

I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day.

Mother's Day

I know its not until tomorrow but as I am going out for lunch with my family tomorrow I thought I would post the card that I have made for my mum and my mum in law. I made the same card as I didn't have the time to go blog browsing for ideas. I also decided to use my fav colours and stamp set.

I am quite pleased with the end result.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mum's out there.

Tag Album

On Monday night at Crafters Anonymous our Online class was with Anne Brignall. It was a fantastic class and this is what we made....

A fabulous Tag Album. So easy to make - the longest part is the decorating. I will be making more of these.

Family Portrait

The 21st we went to on Saturday night was fancy dress - this is a photo of my family. My eldest son was The Joker, my youngest went as Fred Dagg, my hubby (who hates dress up) went as a rugby player and I was a royal wedding guest. The other photo is my dil dressed a Bo Peep. It was so much fun.
